I photographed this lonely oak tree one early spring day before the leaves had even begun to bud. I always love the twisted, gnarly branches and the way they seem chaotic and organized at the same time. To accentuate this ordered chaos, I made several images as I moved around the tree and used my camera’s built in multiple exposure function to create the final image. The result is an image that is abstract, but doesn’t deviate too much from reality.
