This is probably one of the most photographed waterfalls in Spearfish Canyon, but what made the image unique on this day was the early spring foliage on the surrounding trees. The vibrant green of the leaves almost gave them a metallic appearance, and when I processed the photograph in black and white, the silvery contrast made a perfect frame for the falls.
